4 Practical Ways to start Your Day With the Lord

We all can use the ideas in this 1-minute devotion to start our morning with Jesus! It can bless our whole day!

It's so important to start our day on the right foot” because a good beginning can affect our whole day.

And there's no better way to start our day that with thoughts of the Lord.

So here are a few ideas:

1. Recite Scripture when you first open your eyes.

You can recite a short Psalm like Psalm 59:16: I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

Or recite these 8 Statements Christians Should Make Each Day.

2. Let the first words out of your mouth be “Good morning, Lord” and say a short prayer, asking God's blessing and guidance for the day’s activities.

3. Keep your Bible next to your bed and read a chapter before getting up.

4. Start by singing a praise song. Or, if you have a programmable alarm, let it wake you with praise music.

Whether your day goes as planned or not, you will have started it on the right foot!
